On the afternoon of October 22nd, Van Hien University donated 1 billion VND to the "Support for School" scholarship program organized by Tuoi Tre Newspaper. This initiative demonstrates the University's strong commitment to accompanying and supporting freshmen from disadvantaged backgrounds to continue their educational journey and confidently enter the new academic year 2025-2026.
The donation ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nguyen – Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Tuoi Tre Newspaper, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huy Hoang – Permanent Vice Rector of Van Hien University. The event not only provided scholarships to students but also spread humanistic values, the spirit of sharing, and the philosophy of "Character before Reputation" that Van Hien University has always pursued.
Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Huy Hoang affirmed: "The Support for School scholarship program is very meaningful and brings tremendous social impact. The program has provided timely assistance to many freshmen from difficult circumstances, even those who cannot afford tuition fees, giving them more confidence as they step into university."

He also emphasized that the collaboration between Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Van Hien University in supporting disadvantaged students has made practical contributions to improving the quality of human resources for society and the country, in line with the University's educational philosophy.
"The University always desires to provide equal learning opportunities for all students. We hope that students will do their best to become useful members of the community," Mr. Hoang shared.
Representing Tuoi Tre Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Nguyen expressed his appreciation for Van Hien University's compassion and partnership: "Many students risk having to abandon their educational dreams due to dire circumstances. The 1 billion VND support from Van Hien University is tremendous encouragement, helping them continue pursuing knowledge."
This scholarship donation continues to affirm Van Hien University's humanistic educational philosophy and spirit of social responsibility. Previously, the University collaborated with Tuoi Tre Newspaper to implement the "Wings for Dreams" scholarship and award program spanning three years, with a total value of 19.3 billion VND. For 2025 alone, the program plans to allocate 6.234 billion VND for scholarships and awards to students with outstanding achievements and special circumstances.
The Support for School scholarship is not only timely financial assistance but also a valuable source of spiritual encouragement, adding faith and aspiration to freshmen – young people who are striving every day to pursue knowledge and contribute to building a compassionate and sustainably developing society.
