(VHU) — Outperforming over 1,000 participants from across Vietnam, students from the Faculty of Information Technology at Van Hien University (VHU) have demonstrated their exceptional talent by securing two notable awards at the 10th edition of the National IT Talent Hunt Competition 2025: the Championship title in the AI & Blockchain track, and an Encouragement Prize in the Computer Networks track.

The Significance of These Prestigious Wins 
As a highly reputable academic gathering that draws top IT students from all corners of the country, this competition serves as a rigorous benchmark for assessing participants' all-around capabilities. Van Hien’s competing teams left a strong, positive impression on the expert judging panel, standing out not only for their deep, specialized technical knowledge but also for their polished presentation skills and sharp ability to defend their project ideas during the critical Q&A round. This event is widely recognized as a trusted measure of how well students can apply academic learning to real-world technical challenges.
In the AI & Blockchain track, the Van Hien championship team took the top prize with their project: “Application of Artificial Intelligence to Develop an Intelligent Fire Detection and Alert System for Buildings Using Existing Surveillance Cameras”
The judging panel gave the project high acclaim, highlighting its clear real-world applicability, feasible roadmap for on-ground implementation, and alignment with the national vision of building safe, smart urban environments.


Van Hien University’s championship-winning team in the AI & Blockchain track claimed their top title with the project: Application of Artificial Intelligence to Develop an Intelligent Fire Detection and Alert System for Buildings Using Surveillance Cameras.

In addition, VHU students continued to showcase their technical prowess by securing the Encouragement Prize in the Computer Networks track with their project: “ Deployment of VMware ESXi Virtualized Server Infrastructure Integrated with the Zabbix Centralized Monitoring System”
This project impressed the judging panel with the team’s solid technical foundation, sharp logical systems thinking, and remarkable ability to work with cutting-edge modern IT infrastructure frameworks while still completing their full-time undergraduate studies on campus.
