Van Hien University successfully organized its 2016-2017 School Year Opening Ceremony at 613 Au Co Campus on 30th October 2016.
Various leaders of the local government, as well as HungHau Holdings and Van Hien University and its partners, attended this important ceremony. Furthermore, the event also observed the attendance of the representatives of many local and foreign organizations in economics, education, and society; journalists from several presses. More importantly, the current students, as well as 2,773 freshmen of Van Hien University, have contributed to the spectacular atmosphere of the event.
It can be observed that the number of students enrolled at Van Hien University increased by 30% compared to the previous year. In addition, there was also the improvement in the education of the school and the study quality of the students with roughly 30 research papers at the school level, 14 research projects conducted by students/student groups to participate in the 17th Eureka Competition in 2015, Luong Van Can, Startup-Wheel, and other start-up competitions.
Speaking at the Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Tran Van Thien, Rector of Van Hien University, has reported the achievements of the school throughout 19 years of establishment and development. He emphasized the increase in the number of good students in recent years as well as the proportion of 79% students getting jobs in the first year after graduating from the school, illustrating the effectiveness of the studying operation and educational management of Van Hien University.
The integration and international cooperation of the school were also remarkable through the signing with over 20 prestigious universities and institutions all over the world. Through various international cooperation programs, Van Hien University has welcomed roughly 40 international students to study at the school. Besides, VHU students have many opportunities to approach international programs and apply the standard curriculum of the best universities nowadays.
Considering the human soul as the base, students as the center, and lecturers as the key, Van Hien University has passed through 19 years of developing its beautiful culture. All the lecturers, staffs, and students will always maintain this tradition.
In harmony with the “Welcome the new school year", Van Hien University also organized a Gala called "Proud to be a VHU student", a unique program with several attractive prizes such as Samsung Galaxy Tab 3; Dell Vostro 3459 laptop; Honda Vision. The Gala was also an opportunity for generations of students to exchange and share their experiences.
