Creating Tourism Highlights: VHU Survey Delegation's Initial Steps in Collaboration with My Tho City People's Committee, Preparing for Local Tourism Development Project

Based on Official Letter No. 3797/UBND-VP dated July 21, 2023, from the People's Committee of My Tho City, inviting a study and consultation on developing tourism projects for My Tho City, and on Plan No. 438/QLKH&HTQT regarding collaboration with the People's Committee of My Tho City, approved on July 26, 2023, by Van Hien University, the survey delegation from Van Hien University undertook a significant trip to My Tho City in the province of Tien Giang. The trip aimed to foster sustainable tourism development, meet community demands, and enhance the unique cultural landscape of the region.

On-site Survey - Unlocking Opportunities:

Starting in the morning from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM, the Van Hien University survey delegations had the opportunity to explore crucial tourist sites in My Tho City. From historical and cultural relics like the Memorial House of Writer Son Nam and the Bach Cong Tu House, to spiritual places such as Vinh Trang Pagoda and Nguyen Dinh Chieu School, the delegation collected invaluable information through real experiences.

Collaboration in Project Building - Creating New Values:

In the afternoon, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the main meeting took place with representatives from both sides. The People's Committee of My Tho City introduced an overview of the city and its tourism development. They particularly shared plans about creating a Pedestrian Street and related initiatives.

During the interactive session, Van Hien University demonstrated its flexibility in meeting the Committee's requirements. The delegation shared experiences and presented an overall plan to fulfill the advisory tasks. Following sincere discussions, both parties reached a consensus on the scope and content of future collaboration.

Promising Collaborative Efforts:

At the heart of the meeting was Van Hien University's commitment to advise and execute four crucial projects as per the Committee's request, including:

"Culture - Cuisine - Tourism Festival in My Tho City."

"Pedestrian Street Organization Project."

"Enhancing Tourism on Thoi Son Island."

"My Tho City Tourism Development Phase 2024 - 2025 and Outlook towards 2030."

Culmination of Collaborative Construction:

Beyond just a meeting, this working trip showcased the flexibility and collaborative potential of Van Hien University. Each step, from on-site surveys to discussions and commitments, contributed to a promising image for My Tho's tourism future.
