On October 30, 2024, at the HungHau Campus, Van Hien University solemnly held the opening ceremony for the 2024 - 2025 academic year, marking an important event and a promising new beginning for all students and faculty members of the university.

With the theme "Harmony - Service - Growth," this year's opening ceremony not only highlighted the university's educational philosophy of "Character matters" that has guided the institution for the past 27 years but also affirmed its goal of helping students develop in a balanced way—encompassing knowledge, skills, and character—in a comprehensive manner.

The ceremony was attended by many distinguished guests, including representatives from various departments, agencies, organizations, and partner businesses. Also present were representatives from the HungHau Holdings Executive Board, as well as the university's Executive Board, faculty members, staff, and students of Van Hien University.
The character-centric philosophy has been the guiding principle in the development of Van Hien University. As true success stems from a strong foundation of character, the university has always strived to create an environment that fosters the holistic development of its students. The theme "Harmony - Service - Growth" for this year's opening ceremony highlights the university's vision for a generation of students who are not only proficient in study but also strong in character and dedicated to serving society.
In his speech to the students, Mr. Nguyen Duc Cuong, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Education and Training, shared his thoughts: "VHU will serve as an educational environment and also the perfect starting point, from and through which you will attain knowledge, skills, a profound character, and thus cultivate a spirit of service to society."

This year's opening ceremony also marks a new milestone in the collaboration between the university and its partner businesses. Van Hien University currently has over 500 business partners, offering students opportunities for internships and practical work experience throughout their academic journey. Notably, during this year's opening ceremony, the university received commitments from businesses to hire Van Hien University graduates who achieve a good graduation result (at least a "fair" grade), with a conduct score ranging from 70 to 100, and who have participated in at least three community volunteer activities.
Moreover, employers are willing to prioritize students who meet criteria related to harmony, service, personal growth, as well as a sense of responsibility and success. The university also pledges to collaborate with businesses in training high-quality, responsible human resources that meet the specific needs of employers. This is a valuable opportunity for Van Hien University students to integrate into real work environments even while still in school, helping them build a solid foundation for their future careers

Representatives from partner businesses presented scholarships with a total value of over 30 billion VND to students with difficult circumstances and outstanding academic achievements, encouraging them on their journey of learning and development. At the same time, the university also honored and awarded scholarships to 41 new students who are the Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and top students from each faculty, with the hope of accompanying them on their path to achieving their dreams and reaching new heights of knowledge.

As part of the opening ceremony, the Student Festival (SF) also took place with vibrant activities, including teambuilding exercises, cultural performances, and over 100 booths from various departments, clubs, and businesses. Student teams, sponsored by businesses, demonstrated a spirit of connection and unity, helping students develop soft skills and expand their networking opportunities. This series of activities created a welcoming learning environment, boosting students' confidence as they prepare to enter the job market
The event provided Van Hien University students with an opportunity to raise awareness about environmental protection through a plastic waste collection campaign. Additionally, the university promoted a culture of reading and knowledge sharing by organizing a book donation drive at one of the festival booths. This initiative contributed to building a diverse collection of study and research materials, offering the Van Hien student community greater access to new and enriched sources of knowledge.

In the evening of the same day, the university's students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in a spectacular music program featuring performances by faculty members, students, and guest artists.
