On February 14, 2024, Van Hien University (VHU) welcomed a delegation from Krik University (KRIK), Thailand. The two institutions discussed potential collaborations in education, scientific research, and student exchange programs.
Krik University is the first private university in Thailand, ranked among the top 5 universities in ASEAN, with 67% international students. The university offers 33 undergraduate and 46 postgraduate programs, with a graduate employment rate of 91.2%. Its main campus is located in Bangkok, equipped with modern facilities, sports centers, and multilingual academic programs.
The discussions covered joint training programs, study tours, international conferences, and collaborative research. VHU introduced its Master’s program in Psychology, which began admissions in 2024, and expressed its interest in establishing a partnership for a Bachelor's program in Law.
Additionally, both universities explored student exchange opportunities ranging from 2-week to 8-week programs, cultural exchange activities, and collaborations in Chinese and English language studies. The estimated living costs in Thailand range from 7 to 10 million VND per month.
Both parties agreed on the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in the near future. Krik University is expected to send a pre-signed MOU, and its delegation will visit VHU in February 2025. This meeting marks the beginning of a promising and long-term collaboration between the two institutions.
