(VHU) The Van Hien University Educational Ecosystem has officially launched its 2027 career guidance and admissions campaign, accompanying students born in 2009 (2K9) as they explore their interests and abilities, learn about academic majors and career paths, and prepare for their choices after high school. At its first destinations, the program engaged nearly 1,500 students in Ho Chi Minh City, providing opportunities for direct discussions about academic majors, career prospects, and essential preparations for university life.

Launching the Career Guidance Journey with 2K9 Students
As they begin preparing for important decisions after high school, students born in 2009 (2K9) face numerous questions about academic majors, career opportunities, and their future directions.

Beyond admissions information, students also need opportunities to explore their interests and abilities, identify their strengths, and gain a clearer understanding of the educational and career pathways that best suit them.

Van Hien University's admissions counseling team introduces academic majors and training programs to students at Ly Thuong Kiet High School.

In response to these needs, Van Hien University (VHU) and its member institutions have officially launched their 2027 career guidance and admissions campaign. Among the first destinations were Ly Thuong Kiet High School, Nguyen Khuyen High School, Nguyen Thi Dinh High School for the Gifted in Sports, and Tan Binh Continuing Education Center, attracting nearly 1,500 participating students.

From Questions About Academic Majors to Career Orientation
During the programs, students had the opportunity to engage directly with the admissions counseling team and discuss practical questions related to choosing academic majors and future careers: Which fields best suit their interests and abilities? How can their strengths and passions be developed into career opportunities? What are the employment prospects for different majors? And what should they start preparing for today?

Mr. Nguyen Hai Dang – Deputy Director of the VHU Admissions Counseling Center – directly engages with students, providing guidance and answering their questions about academic majors and career choices during the admissions counseling program.

Through practical insights and interactive activities, students gained greater access to information about academic majors, learning environments, career opportunities, and future professional development pathways. These face-to-face discussions also encouraged students to ask questions confidently, share their concerns, and gradually identify the criteria that best align with their individual interests and aspirations.

In particular, the career guidance activities were conducted under the theme “Understand Yourself – Explore Careers – Shape a Brighter Future,” emphasizing the importance of choosing an academic major based on a clear understanding of one's abilities, interests, and personal goals. This approach encourages students to make informed, independent decisions rather than simply following popular trends or choosing careers that are currently attracting widespread attention.

Supporting Students in Making Well-Informed Choices
For VHU and its member institutions, career guidance goes beyond providing admissions information. It is also about accompanying students as they discover their strengths, explore their potential, and develop a clear vision for their future.

When students understand their abilities, recognize their aspirations, and become aware of the knowledge and skills required by different professions, they are better equipped to make choices that align with their individual goals.

Understand yourself to discover your strengths; explore careers to recognize their requirements and opportunities; and make the right choice to confidently embark on a new journey.

Students actively ask questions and engage in direct discussions during the counseling program, gaining valuable insights into academic majors, career pathways, and suitable options for their journey after high school.

The first destinations have marked the beginning of the Van Hien University Educational Ecosystem's 2027 career guidance and admissions campaign. In the coming months, the journey will continue to reach more schools, connect with more students, and listen to the stories, aspirations, and dreams of the 2K9 generation.

With the continued support of VHU and its member institutions, every question asked today can become a meaningful first step toward helping students better understand themselves, proactively explore career opportunities, and confidently choose the path that best aligns with their future goals.
