(VHU) Featuring a diverse range of carefully prepared performances and live improvisation challenges, the Top 12 finalists of the Van Hien MC Competition for the 2025–2026 academic year showcased their unique personalities and talents as young people passionate about the art of hosting. As the “When the Heart Speaks” journey came to a close, the competition's prestigious titles officially found their winners.

The Top 12 and Their Journey to Creating “My Signature”
Being a master of ceremonies requires more than just a captivating voice. It also demands strong content development skills, the ability to connect with audiences, quick thinking, adaptability, and the confidence to command the stage. These qualities were put to the test as the Top 12 contestants competed in the Grand Finale of the Van Hien MC Competition for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Under the theme “When the Heart Speaks,” the competition provided a platform for students to discover and express their individuality rather than conform to a conventional hosting style. This spirit was particularly evident in the theatrical performance round, “My Signature,” where 12 contestants from two categories—Television MC and Event & Entertainment MC—entered the decisive stage of the competition.

Each contestant delivered a specialized hosting performance in their chosen field. The stage continuously transformed, featuring cultural news segments, talk shows, stories about young people, fashion shows, traditional cultural presentations, gala events, and live performances. The diversity of topics and formats allowed each contestant to demonstrate their approach to content development, command of language, and distinctive hosting style.

When Confidence Is Tested Beyond the Script
While the specialized hosting performances highlighted the contestants' preparation and individual styles, the situational challenges and interview questions from the judging panel tested their ability to respond to unexpected circumstances.

Following their performances, each contestant randomly selected a judge who would present a question or scenario. Contestants were given a maximum of three minutes to respond or handle the situation directly on stage. This challenge provided a clearer demonstration of their quick thinking, analytical abilities, adaptability, and composure as aspiring professional hosts.

The Grand Finale was evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, including:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang – Vice Rector of Van Hien University.
- MA. Huynh Hoang Cu – Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Van Hien University.
- MA., MC Huynh Thi Quynh Hoa – Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural House.
- MC Thanh Thao – Founder & CEO of Sun&Moon Academy.

From a Competition to a Journey of Developing a Distinctive Personal Style
As the Grand Finale came to a close, the true value of “When the Heart Speaks” extended far beyond the awards and titles. Throughout the journey of practicing, developing content, performing in front of audiences, and responding to unexpected situations beyond the script, each contestant gained valuable practical experience to recognize their strengths, refine their skills, and shape their own distinctive hosting style.

This also reflects the core purpose of the Van Hien MC Competition: to create an environment where students can not only explore their potential in the art of hosting but also strengthen their communication skills, critical thinking, confidence, and ability to express themselves with composure in front of an audience.
