In order to create opportunities for lecturers and students to exchange, learn and share experiences in teaching and scientific research with foreign experts, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities coordinated with the Department of Scientific Management and International Cooperation to organize a meeting, exchanges and academic sharing with the expert delegation of the University of Hamburg - Federal Republic of Germany.
The event attracted a large number of Van Hien students to attend.
The event contributes to strengthening the cooperative relationship between Van Hien University in general, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities in particular and international organizations, promoting research and teaching of Vietnamese studies, and opening up opportunities for lecturers and students to exchange academics, expand knowledge and build a foundation for future cooperation programs.
The highlight of the event was the topic "Trang Quynh – Eulenspiegel of Vietnam?" by Prof. Dr. Jӧrg Thomas Engelbert, an expert from the Hamburg University,. The topic focused, on comparing the image of Trang Quynh in Vietnamese folklore with Eulenspiegel - a famous character in German folklore. Thereby, lecturers and students have the opportunity to exchange and discuss, learn about the similarities and cultural adaptation between Vietnam and other countries.

Also, there are many issues were opened in the program about Vietnamese Studies, the relationship between Vietnam and other countries in the region and the world from the perspective of foreign experts, attracting the attention of a large number of students and lecturers. The program plays an important role in promoting academic exchanges between Van Hien University and the University of Hamburg, contributes to the development of the field of Vietnamese studies as well as strengthening international cooperation.
