With the aim of narrowing the gap between academic learning and real-world practice, the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Van Hien University recently organized a career exposure and experiential learning visit to City International Hospital (CIH). This special activity was exclusively designed for first-year students, enabling them to gain first-hand insights into a professional healthcare environment from the very beginning of their university journey.

Exposure to an International-Standard Healthcare Environmen
Within the framework of the program, students had the opportunity to explore CIH’s modern facilities and its strictly regulated operational processes. City International Hospital is recognized as one of the large-scale general hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City operating under international standards.

During the visit, students not only toured various functional departments but also learned in detail about international-standard medical examination and treatment procedures. Notably, CIH representatives delivered an in-depth sharing session covering:
The practical operational model of an international general hospital
Stringent professional and medical ethics requirements
Essential soft skills required for healthcare professionals to meet current labor market demands

Visualize their future careers: Gain a clear understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and positive pressures faced by healthcare professionals
Build effective learning pathways: Use real-world observations to identify core knowledge areas and essential skills to develop
Strengthen professional passion: Direct experiences help nurture dedication to the profession and provide strong motivation to overcome academic challenges in the years ahead

Through these experiential activities, students not only reinforce their passion for their chosen field but also enhance their learning awareness, proactive mindset, and commitment to professional development.
