In light of the severe damage caused by Typhoon No. 3 to several provinces and cities in Northern Vietnam, Van Hien University, along with its staff, lecturers, and students, in collaboration with the Hung Hau Heart Foundation and other members of the Hung Hau family, have donated over 2.3 billion VND to support the affected regions in recovering from the storm’s damage.

Van Hien University donates 500 million VND to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee
The funds were delivered to the affected communities through the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, as well as various trade unions and media organizations. Specifically:
Van Hien University donated 1.35 billion VND via the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, the Trade Union of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Trade Union of Lang Son Province, and Tuoi Tre Newspaper.
Hung Hau Development Corporation donated 500 million VND to Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper.
The Hung Hau Heart Foundation contributed 500 million VND to the Ministry of Home Affairs. This amount was raised by donors, staff, lecturers, and students from the Hung Hau family.
In addition to the donations above, the university’s staff and lecturers continue to raise funds by contributing one day’s salary to support the Northern communities affected by Typhoon No. 3. This additional amount will be sent to the regions impacted by the floods and storm.
