On November 27, 2025, the University Performance Metrics (UPM) - Vietnam and Regional University Quality Ranking and Benchmarking System announced the evaluation results of higher education institutions. Accordingly, Van Hien University was recognized as achieving the 3-Star Plus standard, marking an important step forward in the journey of quality improvement and integration.
Van Hien University has achieved the 3-Star Plus standard in the UPM rankings.
University Performance Metrics (UPM) is a university ranking system developed by experts from Vietnam National University, Hanoi, under the sponsorship of the National Education Science Program chaired by the Ministry of Education and Training. Currently, UPM is managed and operated by the UPM Innovation Institute, under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations.
UPM currently has the participation of more than 100 educational institutions and training programs from 12 countries: Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan (China), and the United States.
Achieving the 3-Star Plus standard was formed through a rigorous evaluation process based on UPM's comprehensive criteria. Van Hien has well met the requirements from infrastructure, training programs, quality management, to outstanding efforts in innovation, internationalization, and community service.
This result shows that Van Hien is an educational institution with sufficient capacity, competence, and determination to deeply integrate into the international education network. With its existing potential, Van Hien will develop sustainably in the context of the transformation of higher education in the 4.0 era.
For Van Hien, this is not just an honorary "badge" but also clear evidence of sustainable development orientation, consistent strategy, and the school's relentless aspiration to rise.
The 3-Star Plus result also acknowledges the efforts of the entire Executive Board, lecturers, staff, and students, who have been contributing to building a dynamic, humane, and quality learning and research environment, actively contributing to the development of human resources for the country while affirming Van Hien - A Vietnamese university with international stature where knowledge, people, and academic values are nurtured and spread to the world.
