In the current context of economic integration, nations are not only competing for the economy, quality of products and services, but also compete for education. As the labor market becomes increasingly competitive, enhancing the quality of human resources is a challenge for educational institutions in affirming their prestige and integration into global education.
Being aware of the great significance of the quality assurance and accreditation of education, the staff of Van Hien University actively participated in the training course on developing the quality assurance system match the standards of educational quality assessment of MOET took place on October 9th, 2018 and October 10th, 2018 at the campus of Van Hien University, 613 Au Co, Tan Binh District.

Associate Prof. Dr. Tran Van Thien – Rector of VHU shared: "Accreditation of education is an opportunity for the University to reconsider its activities in a systematic manner to adjust and develop according to a certain standard, while defining the advantages and disadvantages to have the appropriate action strategies. The voluntary registration of Institutes is a commitment to the quality of training provided by institutes to learners and stakeholders such as employers, social and partners. The training gives each member of VHU a better understanding of his or her work and coordinates with the relevant departments to achieve quality. This is a prerequisite for each individual to be more active in improving the quality of their work. From now to 2019, Van Hien University will urgently complete the work of accrediting educational quality”.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Giao - Permanent Deputy Director of the Center for Educational Quality Assessment - University of Danang reported during the training.
The workshop was organized by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Giao - Permanent Deputy Director of the Center for Quality Assurance of Education - University of Danang. In addition to introducing an overview of quality assurance and access to PDCA in quality assurance, as well as a set of criteria for evaluating the quality of institutions. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Giao also instructed VHU's staffs on how to analyze the criteria, how to make a list of evidences and techniques to collect, handle evidences, guide how to write report with criterias.
To better understand the actual work, the participants in the training were divided into groups to practice the self-assessment of the institution, write a self-assessment report. Through the exercise, trainees have the skills to analyze the criteria, identify the indicator requirements and benchmark the reference of the criterion, set the questions for each requirement to assess the level of achievement.

At the end of the training, the staffs of VHU equipped with the knowledge and skills to carry out the self-assessment of educational institutions, common sense of purpose and determination to implement the quality assurance and testing. From there, create a basic for affirming the brand, prestige as well as the quality of training and scientific research of Van Hien University for learners and other stakeholders.
