(VHU) On July 15, 2026, Van Hien University, in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, organized the Closing Ceremony of the official external assessment survey for 13 academic programs. This marks an important milestone in the journey of building a culture of quality, affirming the University's commitment to continuous improvement, enhancing educational standards, and meeting higher education benchmarks.
Following seven days of implementing preliminary and official survey activities, Van Hien University, together with the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, held the Closing Ceremony of the official external assessment survey for 13 academic programs, concluding a period of rigorous, objective, and effective work by the Team of External Assessment Experts at the University.
Overview of the Closing Session of the Official Survey for Academic Program Quality Assessment
Attending the closing ceremony were representatives from the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi; the External Assessment Expert Team; the University Council, the Board of Presidents of Van Hien University, the Self-Assessment Council, representatives from the leadership of departments managing the evaluated academic programs, student representatives, and university staff.
Throughout the survey period, the External Assessment Expert Team conducted in-depth reviews of evidence dossiers, inspected physical facilities, visited classrooms, laboratories, libraries, and practical training areas. At the same time, they organized multiple interview and discussion sessions with relevant stakeholder groups to gather multi-dimensional insights on organization, management, training, scientific research, community service, and quality assurance conditions for each academic program. The entire process was conducted in accordance with the educational quality accreditation standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training, ensuring independence, transparency, and objectivity.

On behalf of the External Assessment Expert Teams, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc – Head of the Team, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan – Team Member, presented the preliminary report on the official survey results for the 13 academic programs of Van Hien University.
Based on cross-referencing with the quality assessment standards for higher education programs across all degree levels issued under Circular No. 04/2025/TT-BGDĐT by the Ministry of Education and Training, the report recognized key achievements, highlighting the strengths as well as areas needing further improvement for each program. At the same time, the expert team provided valuable recommendations for Van Hien University and its academic units to continuously refine curricula, enhance administrative efficiency, strengthen the internal quality assurance system, and steadily elevate educational quality toward sustainable development and integration.

Delivering the closing remarks for the survey period, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien acknowledged the serious and responsible coordination of Van Hien University and its functional units throughout the external assessment process, which contributed to ensuring that the survey was conducted properly and effectively. At the same time, she highly commended the objective and professional working spirit of the External Assessment Expert Teams and expressed her wish that the University continue to build upon its achieved results, actively incorporate the recommendations to carry out quality improvement activities effectively, and aim toward elevating academic program quality while perfecting its quality assurance system in accordance with regulations.

At the conclusion of the closing session, the Head of the External Assessment Expert Team, leadership from the Center, and representatives from Van Hien University signed the memorandum of completion for the official survey supporting the external assessment of the academic programs.
