In the context of a growing economy and increasing labor market demands, university education must go beyond theoretical knowledge to focus on practical skills and adaptability to real-world working environments. Internships play a vital role in the educational process, helping students apply classroom knowledge to specific professional situations within enterprises. Through these activities, students have the opportunity to access professional environments, hone technical skills, and refine their communication and professional conduct. For students of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at Van HienUniversity, an internship is not only a mandatory requirement but also a crucial bridge between theory and practice, enhancing training quality and meeting the needs of the modern labor market.

In early March 2026, immediately following the Lunar New Year holiday, students from the Faculty of Accounting and Finance officially commenced their professional internship programs. Students were assigned to various economic organizations throughout Ho Chi Minh City, including commercial banks, as well as service, trading, and manufacturing enterprises. Many of these host organizations are long-standing partners that have maintained sustainable cooperation with the Faculty and the University in practical training initiatives. This synchronized internship rollout allows students to immerse themselves in real working environments, observe professional workflows, and apply their specialized expertise. Furthermore, it provides an occasion for employers to evaluate student potential while strengthening the link between the university and the industry, effectively implementing the motto: "Learning goes hand in hand with practice."
Upon graduation, many students have been offered official positions at the very organizations where they interned. The internship process allows them to demonstrate their professional competence, work ethic, and adaptability. Many alumni, after becoming full-time employees, continue to support and mentor subsequent generations of interns. This fosters a sustainable connection between different generations of students and their host enterprises, creating a strong professional network.
