On October, 2023, at the Hùng Hậu Campus of Van Hien University, an event transpired as a warm welcome was extended to and a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between Van Hien University and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City.
Present at this significant meeting were Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi, the Consul General of the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City, and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc, the President of Van Hien University, along with their respective teams.
During the gathering, both parties engaged in a productive exchange of ideas and information related to the field of education, solidifying their commitment to enhancing cooperation. They pledged to strengthen collaborative efforts in cultural activities, including the organization of cultural events, exhibitions, conferences, and forums aimed at fostering mutual understanding and interaction between the academic community and the public of both nations.
In the coming period, Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi will act as a bridge to connect Indian businesses with the HungHau Group, support Van Hien University in establishing connections with reputable Indian universities, participate in joint events and activities, and assist in the formation of a Vietnam-India Friendship Association.
Van Hien University and the Consulate General of India have agreed to create favorable conditions for student exchange programs, study abroad opportunities, internships, and scholarships to promote educational and cultural exchanges between the two countries. Leveraging India's strengths in areas such as pharmaceuticals, healthcare, agriculture, and information technology will further enhance the quality of human resource development in Vietnam, while also providing students and faculty with a deeper understanding of India's economy, culture, and society.
Additionally, both parties will explore opportunities to engage in diplomatic activities, including hosting international events, conferences, seminars, and forums related to international relations, diplomacy, and global issues.

Building upon this MOU, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City will introduce information and foster collaboration with Indian organizations and entities suitable for the university's educational potential.
