On the morning of September 20, 2025, at Tran Hung Dao Hall, the Faculty of Engineering of Van Hien University organized a scientific conference titled “Research and Application of Digital Technology in the Engineering Field.” The event brought together the University’s Board of Directors, lecturers, researchers, business representatives, and a large number of students.
The conference was organized with the objective of creating an academic forum for lecturers and students to exchange ideas and update new knowledge, while connecting with experts and partner organizations both inside and outside the university. This is a significant activity in promoting scientific research, linking training with practice, and contributing to improving the educational quality of the University in the context of digital transformation.
M.A Ho Quoc Bao delivered a presentation on his research topic during the program.
Within the framework of the program, 11 scientific reports were presented with diverse content and high applicability. Notable among them were research on IoT applications in construction management, solutions for riverside urban development, AI and IoT in smart agriculture, research on intelligent reflecting surface systems, as well as topics in the fields of biotechnology, environment, and food technology.
The reports included:

3. "Application of IoT and AI in smart urban agriculture" – Mr. Phan Van Hiep, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
4. "Understanding and transforming AI into an effective assistant from an engineer's perspective" – Ms. Dinh Thi Kha Han, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
5. " Performance evaluation and the reliability–security trade-off for one-way full-duplex relay networks using artificial noise" – Mr. Ho Quoc Bao, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
6. "Research on channel modeling for systems using intelligent reflecting surfaces" – Mr. Nguyen Khac Hoang, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
7. "Caesalpinia minax hance extract: A Potential approach for blood sugar control" – Dr. Phung Vo Cam Hong, Deputy Director of the Institute of Biotechnology and Environmental Research, Nong Lam University Ho Chi Minh City.
8. "Determining the half-life and accumulation capacity of pesticides in citrus cultivation soil" – Dr. Pham Thi Thanh Hoa, Head of Department, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
9. "Chemical Composition and antibacterial activity of essential oil extracted from pomelo peel (citrus maxima) in Vietnam" – Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ngan, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
10. "New Technology for Natural Additives in Aquaculture: From Laboratory Standardization to Field Application Guidelines" – Dr. Nguyen Thanh Vu, Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center.
11. "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Fermentation Process on Mangiferin and Genkwanin Content in Gio Bau Leaves (Aquilaria crassna) for Fermented Tea Production" – Dr. Doan Van Thuan, Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
These papers not only reflect modern research trends but also offer valuable practical insights, demonstrating the growing role of digital technology in the development of engineering and everyday life.
In particular, the enthusiastic participation of students in the discussion session affirmed the academic spirit and scientific research aspirations of the young generation at Van Hien University. Direct exposure to research projects and exchanges with experts enable students to develop critical thinking, broaden their perspectives, and shape their future career orientations.
From a strategic perspective, this conference represents Van Hien University’s strong commitment to making digital technology a core foundation for training and research. It is an annual scientific activity and a concrete step in building a dynamic, modern academic environment closely linked to practical applications and international integration.
The conference left a profound impression, opening up promising prospects for the robust development of scientific research in the digital era. It also reaffirmed the position of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of Van Hien University as a reputable knowledge center that accompanies students on their journey of learning and creativity within their specialized fields.
