Enhancing Chinese Language Skills through the 'Chinese Dubbing Contest' for Students Majoring in Chinese Language

The 'Chinese Dubbing Contest' - an academic playground that attracts a large number of students majoring in Chinese Language at VHU and 5 partner universities in the region to participate and compete together.


The contestants take photos with the judging panel and guests after the competition.

The contestants confidently showcased their dubbing skills through selected Chinese drama clips chosen by the judges. Despite having only 5 minutes to demonstrate their dubbing abilities and not being able to practice beforehand with the videos, the contestants managed to closely follow the emotional trajectory of the characters, effectively conveying the fundamental elements of pronunciation and intonation during the dubbing process.


Dr. Le Thi Kieu Van - Head of the Foreign Languages Department presented flowers to the representative of the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

The competition was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi Diem Tuyet - CEO of Van Hien University, along with representatives of the heads/deputies of various departments/functional units and esteemed professors and lecturers from different faculties.

In addition, there was the participation of representatives from the Chinese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City:

An essential component in identifying outstanding individuals for the competition, and playing a crucial role in providing the most objective comments and evaluations for the contestants, is the Judge Panel. Esteemed professors and lecturers with many years of experience in teaching and training Chinese language at Van Hien University and other universities in the region make up this panel.

- Dr. Le Minh Thanh - Lecturer at the Department of Chinese Literature, Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- PhD Candidate Nguyen Tan Truong An - Head of the Chinese Language Department and advisor to the Chinese Language Club.
- Ms. Sang Ngoc Nhan - Lecturer in Chinese language at Nguyen Tat Thanh University.
- Ms. Nguyen Do Thien Kim - Lecturer in Chinese language at Hung Vuong University.
- Ms. Dang Thuc Anh - Lecturer at the Department of Oriental Studies, Lac Hong University.


The contestants received souvenirs from the competition.

The feedback provided by the judging panel has helped the contestants accumulate valuable practical experience in their field of study. Moreover, it has also assisted them in enhancing and improving their skills in pronunciation, intonation, and grammar.

Van Hien University always emphasizes the establishment of various academic platforms for the student community within and outside the university through competitions that reflect the distinctive characteristics of each field of study.
