In the afternoon of March 7th 2023, the MoU signing ceremony between Van Hien University and APTISI Yogyakarta (along with 60 Member Schools of the Association) has been held at HungHau Campus under the witness of the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association in HCMC and the Indonesia Consulate.
Asosiasi Perguruan Tinggi Swasta Indonesia (APTISI) - Indonesian Association of Private Universities Education (APTISI) established on March 1, 1999, is a professional organization that includes all Private Universities. (PTS) and all Private University Legal Entities (BHP-PTS) throughout Indonesia. APTISI Center is located in Jakarta. The Association for Education of Private Universities Indonesia (APTISI) appears for the aspirations of more than 3,000 private universities (PTS) in Indonesia, in addition to being committed to developing programs to promote PTS and international education. The association also considers itself an important partner of the government in nation-building, both in educational and social matters.
According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate to implement the following contents: Exchanging information about teaching, scientific research and other professional matters; Implementing the student exchange programs, helping students of the two sides have the opportunity to exchange, learn and interact with diverse cultures; Participating in seminars, conferences and academic meetings; Collaborating on research projects; exchanging of academic data and information; Engaging in special projects of mutual benefit; Joint program ranging from certificates to graduate programs; Assistance in matters of curriculums.

The MoU signing ceremony at VHU
To commemorate the cooperation ceremony, the APTISI organization sponsored VHU to establish an Indonesia Corner, which included 43 books on the economy, culture, and society, as well as 20 souvenirs about Indonesian nationalization, people, country, and culture.The number of books and souvenirs will be funded each school year.
Representatives from the VHU were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc - President, Dr. Tran Anh Dung - Vice President, Mr. Nguyen Duy Cuong - Head of Scientific Management & International Corporation Department, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Diem Tuyet - Associate Dean of Faculty of Tourism, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoa - Deputy Director of Learning Resources Center and Mrs. Doan Thi Thanh Thao - Deputy Director of Graduate & International Training Institute.
On the APTISI side, there were Dr. Rina Arum Prastyanti, S.H. MH Vice Rector of University of Duta Bangsa, Surakarta Vice Chairwoman of the Cooperation Department of APTISI, Mrs. Yovita Kinanti, S.Kom. M.Kom Lecturer at Sinar Nusantara Institute Member of the Cooperation Department of APTISI and Ms. Alya Marsekal Islami University of Duta Bangsa, Surakarta Member of APTISI.
From the Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association in HCM city, there were participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan - Chairwomen, Mr. Phan Hieu Nghia - Deputy Secretary General and Mr. Nguyen Tan Trung General Secretary.
Especially present were the following from the Indonesia Consulate: Mr. Agustaviano Sofjan- Consul General of Indonesia in HCM City, Ms. Eva Kurniati Situmorang - Consul for Information and Socio-Cultural Affairs, and Ms. Aghata Nugrahaningsih Mursanto- Staff of the Information and Socio-Cultural Affairs.
Delivering at the ceremony, Mr. Agustaviano Sofjan - General Consul highlighted “I am very honored to be at VHU today to witness the Cooperation Signing Ceremony between VHU and APTISI Indonesia as well as the inauguration of Indonesian cultural corner at VHU. This is the second time I have visited and worked with Van Hien University, the campus is still very clean and spacious, Mr. Duc - the president and the lecturers are very hospitable and welcoming. It is an honor for me to be the bridge between APTISI and VHU, I hope that this relationship will be sustainable, long-term and practical. Your relationships today not only represents the image of the two units, but also represents the image of two countries, two cultures of Indonesia and Vietnam. The signing of cooperation and establishment is one of the important and humane events when the beneficiary is the young generation of the two countries and marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations. In the speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Duc on behalf of the two parties, express his appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Hong Xuan- Chairwomen of the Vietnam ASEAN Friendship Association and especially Mr. Agustaviano Sofjan, Consul General of Indonesia in Ho Chi Minh City for their support in making the agreement possible. "As we joined the ASEAN Friendship Association last November, education will shape our growing relationship. Education will help train our young people and determine the future competitiveness of our economies. I would like to express how truly enthusiastic I am personally and on behalf of VHU to receive such priceless gifts to enhance the diversity of our library. I am sure that the Indonesia Corner will inspire students to explore deeper about Indonesia and strengthen cooperation and people-to-people contact between Vietnam and Indonesia in particular as well as within ASEAN in general.”
Also in the ceremony, Dr. Rina Arum Prastyanti was very touched and honored to be at VHU ; and also proud that APTISI organization with more than 60 universities, colleges and research institutes of APTISI has one more reliable and wonderful partner as VHU.

The signing ceremony took place successfully, opening up a riches of future potential for mutually beneficial sustainable development between the institutions as well as coordinating and implementing joint academic and research activities. scientific research, training and human resource development, community service issues and other social activities. The launching of the Indonesia Corner also marks the initial fruit of productive joint cooperation between Van Hien University and APTISI Indonesia.
